- pH-neutral stone cleaner
- Mop
- Bucket of water
- Hand polisher, 7-inch variable with speeds between 600-3000 rpm.
- 3000-grit diamond pad
- 11000-grit diamond pad
- First thing that you need to do is with a clean, soft, and non-treated dust mop clean up all the dust, dirt, and debris.
- Next you will need to do is clean the surface of your limestone tile floors with a pH-neutral stone cleaner mixed with warm water and a sponge or soft mop.
- Now you will use the polisher, set on low, and wish a 3000-grit diamond pad start the polishing process on the surface of the limestone.
- You will move the polished in an oval or egg shape pattern going counterclockwise for between 15 to 30 seconds.
- After that, check and see if the polish is at the desired level that you wish.
- If need be, repeat the process a few more times until you have reached the desired polished.
- Throughout this process you need to make sure that you have kept the limestone slightly wet.
- Polish all of the limestone surface, make sure to overlap in sections around 4 to 6 inches.
- You will now need to remove the 3000-grit, make sure to rinse it clean with water.
- With clean, warm water rinse the surface of the limestone as well with a mop.
- Now you will need to use a 11000-grit diamond pad, attach it to the polisher and repeat the process of step 3 through 8.
- Once you have completed this, remove the 11000-grit pad and rinse and allow it to dry as well.
- Make sure to rinse the surface again with clean, warm water with a mop and allow it to air dry.
- The final step is to make sure to reseal the limestone tile flooring.
